What we're building, and where it stands.

Three things, in plain words: a secure foundation, one trustworthy record of the whole book that you can simply ask, and a personal assistant for everyone. No jargon and no homework. Here is what each one does for you, and how far along it is today.

The three things

One secure base, and two things you'll actually use.

Everything below is being built for one outcome: a book that is trustworthy and legible, far less manual work, and nothing important slipping through the cracks.

The Foundation

The secure base everything else sits on. It is the vault and the shared address book of the firm: one place that knows who is who, keeps sensitive things sealed, and remembers every change.

You will not open it yourself; the other two depend on it entirely.

The Portfolio Platform

One reliable record of the whole book, private equity and real estate together. Every number can be traced to the document it came from, and you can ask a plain question and get an answer you can trust.

It replaces the hand-typed spreadsheets that only one person can maintain.

Cockpit

A personal assistant for each person. It sorts your email, calendar, tasks, and messages by what matters, drafts replies in your voice for you to approve, and makes sure deadlines and promises never slip.

Legal, HR, and financial matters stay private and are never sent on their own.

Where we are right now

The foundation is being built. The rest is queued behind it, on purpose.

We build the safe base first and prove it works before anything is allowed to depend on it. That is why only the foundation is moving today; the two things you will use start once it is ready. Each stop below is written as what it means for you, not how it is built.

The Foundation
Building now

The vault, the shared address book, and the automatic rules for who can see what. Unglamorous and essential; the whole plan rests on it.

Queued · waiting on the foundation

One trustworthy record of the whole book that you can ask in plain English. Starts once the foundation is ready.

1
One reliable record of the whole book
2
Documents turn themselves into numbers
3
Ask the book anything, in plain English
4
It watches for what needs attention
Now

Not started. The design is ready and waiting.

Next

Stand up the single record of the book, checked against today's numbers so it has to tie out before anyone trusts it.

Cockpit
Queued · waiting on the foundation

A personal assistant for everyone, introduced carefully: it earns trust before it is allowed to do anything on its own.

1
It learns the ropes by watching, and does nothing
2
It drafts, you approve
3
It handles small things on its own, safely
4
Everyone on the team has one
Now

Not started. It begins with one person, the hardest inbox in the firm, as the pilot.

Next

Switch it on in watch-only mode, where it predicts and explains but touches nothing.

One decision comes first

The rules get signed before the machinery turns on.

None of the automatic "who can see what" rules take effect until the firm signs off on them, and that sign-off is the thing that unblocks the build. The rules are signed through the current version; one more signature is pending before the shared team channels are switched on. Nothing that depends on that signature will ship until it is given.

What you'll be able to do

The outcomes we're working toward.

Today this list is mostly ahead of us; that is the point of this page. It will fill in as the work lands, so you can watch it move.

A secure base that keeps sensitive things sealed, automatically.

Coming
In plain words

The handful of terms you'll overhear.

If one of these comes up in a meeting, here is all it means.

The Foundation
The secure base the other two are built on. Think plumbing and locks: essential, but not something you open yourself.
Governance
The written rules for who is allowed to see what, signed off by the firm and then enforced automatically, not left to memory or good intentions.
The book
Every investment we hold, across private equity and real estate.
Source, or provenance
Every number can point to the exact document it came from and the date it was true. No more numbers you cannot trace.
Documents reading themselves
A statement becomes numbers in the record without anyone re-typing it by hand.
The Platform
One trustworthy record of the whole book that you can ask questions in plain English.
Cockpit
A personal assistant for each person's email, calendar, tasks, and messages.
Earned autonomy
The assistant watches first, then suggests, and only does things itself once it has been proven safe. It never sends legal, HR, or financial messages on its own.
